I usually try every Friday in Oct after season starts and then Thursday and Fridays in November with exception of the first week when I also take Wednesday.

I have 22 days of vacation yet to take this year. I can take them anytime, so it all depends on weather and what else might be going on.

Mid October for fall break from school.. Thanksgiving break..Christmas break.. School holidays of course. Days after school I can hunt because I'm hunting some property with my friend. Every weekend I can, I'll be heading up to Mississippi to hunt our place. That is, until my gas money saved from cutting yards burns up:tu:

My schedule is flexible so I take days of based on weather and deer movement starting at the beginning of the season. If I don't get a buck down before November as soon as I start seeing big boys acting out of the norm I take a week off (usually first week of November). If I get one down before November I wait and take a week late season.

The first 2 weeks of November are always best around here. Nov. 6th is my lucky day. Shot 2 of my biggest bucks on the 6th.

I put in a TON of hours during the summer so I have some serious comp time built up. I'll be taking the end of October & most of November off!

I work in corrections for the state of maryland, the job environment sucks, but I cant complain about the perks of time off. If we didnt receive so much time off I dont know if I would still be there.

This is so true and I used to tell myself that every year. I am not doing this next year, but I still do. I go strong until about the second week of November and then I remind myself if I am not having fun then why do it at all? I then tend to try and relax and if I sleep in, so be it Ill go that evening. I will take food with me, an extra battery for my phone(play games/facebook/bh.com), I try to make it as enjoyable as I can now without making it seem so much like another job! However no matter how many long days I put in I can't for the life of me fall asleep while in a treestand...dont know why?

I'm going to hit it hard from open till close, mostly weekends. I took a whole week off (11/1st - 8th) to really hit it hard. Can't wait!
