Hey guys, looking to purchase 2 trail cams. Trying not to break the bank thinking around $100 each. I was looking at moultrie and they looked like a decent camera for the price. What do you guys recommend?

Covert MPE5 or for a little more MP8 or MP8 Black. Check out wingsupply.com they usually have some good deals.

Wingsupply has new coverts on sale, and if you use the code dhnet, you will save 12.50 per camera. If you buy one it offsets the $13 shipping, but if you buy two the shipping is the same and you actually save. I think someone posted a link here for the 2013 MP6 cameras selling for $98 (you may have to search some threads to find the link). If you buy two they should cost about 90 a piece shipped to you. I ordered one camera on wednesday at 10 pm and they had my camera to me saturday afternoon.

I ran Cuddeback for many years. The last few years the are CuddeJUNK. Last year I tried a Moultrie m880 and the panoramic one. I can get metal boxes for them (bears and thieves by me). I was impressed and I know I am hard to please. Last week I order 3 more m880 for $99 each with free shipping. Don't remember from where but I just googled them.

You can pick up a Stealth Cam G30 for about $105 on Eders.com. Top of the line camera for low to mid-rang pricing. Hard to beat IMO :tu:

Mountie M-80 series or the newer one. I also really like the bushel trophy came. Two things I've found out about cameras is battery life and camera life are almost always directly related to price. Paying a little more for a camera that operates off double A batteries and one that either has good warranty or doesn't tear up is worth it's weight.

I use to buy the cheaper cameras that used C batteries and had to change them every two weeks. By the end of the 3-4 month season I spent more on batteries than the camera cost. With these cameras above I usually get buy ob one set for about 6 months.

MPE5 is $90 on Wing Supply with coupon code, dhnet.

Very happy with mine. It's been out since mid winter doing very well.

I will say the G30 looks like a solid performer as well.

Moultrie 880 is a really nice model and is on sale at Bass Pro now, although you might find it cheaper on Amazon. It's about 130 but you'll save a lot on batteries with this model.

Looks like Moultrie is out of stock on all the $30 cams!
Amazon has the A-5 for $60 though.

I would never buy another covert again after last year. ..we bought 9 cams and we had to send 7 of them back for not working right...but if you have issues with them send them back and they will send you a new one..however when I received the new ones it still never worked right...after sending them in constantly I had enough of it...I still have a cam that doesn't work. Some of covert staff works well with you and others not so much..so when purchasing your camera keep this in mind..however I'm sure people have bought these cams and not have a problem but 7 out of 9 cams and I still have one that doesn't work pretty ridiculous!
