Anywhere from 100 yards to half a mile, on years where I hunt public land I walk a mile or so.

On private lease probably 200 to 400 yd. walk, on public land a mile+ because all roads are gated, my buddy bought a little boat so that is going to cut out a lot of walking this year. :)

I'm about a 1/4 of a mile from barn to stand. Easy walking though.

I like to be dropped off and picked up right at the base of my tree when I can, deer get used to seeing my truck and only exit the fields right at dark and the truck does the least amount of intrusion also human scent is minimal. Does not take long for deer to catch on to human activity in feeding areas

If your hunting does/small bucks then yes by parking lot is good. Granted you have a chance of seeing a big buck anywhere -the chances are much higher when you walk in farther then most people. Less pressure =more bucks generally

Depends where the deer sign is. I am not afraid to walk. When I hunt private it's not far at all.

I hunt all private land so luckily not much more than 200 yards. I have some spots picked out on state land that are 500+ but I havent been able to scout that area as thoroughly as I feel I need to so I probably wont hunt those areas until next year.

Anywhere from100-400 yards but it's all private and I don't travel to the furthest stands unless the roads are dry enough .
