It's not a bad thing... if you can deal with what comes with it...More idiots, more trolls, less knowledge (goes both ways). But honestly Matt, do you like it better now, or during the first few years of the sight? It's just natural to feel comfortable with the guys you know. Growth is not bad... but I just don't have the time to keep up.
An internet forum to discuss bowhunting with strangers shouldn't be taken so seriously... Unless you are arguing with Hooker, cause lets face it.. That guys a ****.
Sounds like a lot of the older members just wanted to have a minimal, cliquish site for select people. That's fine but it isn't good for a business that wants to be open to the public and sell stuff and be fan supported. Forums are always subject to @ssclowns, the staff seems to run a pretty tight ship to me all things considered, rules are rules and this forum is one of the better ones around IMHO. I like Tony really well and I don't care for SnS's posts for the most part and he gets ignored for the most part (as he should) but Tony's shots were getting to be beneath him personally and hopefully he grows from the experience. We all have to tolerate people we would just as soon see move to another country....
Ah come on guys. I lay low for a while with work, fishing and waterfowl and now everything's all dramatic. I'll try to come back every day to regulate. Really let down, thought you guys could control yourself... Sorry, someone had to say this. I really hope everything gets back to normal. Unfortunately we've been fighting growth for quite some time now. The trolls come and go.
I just want to say this because I like the saying and it seems like it would fit. Fighting on the internet is like running a race in the special Olympics. You may win, but you're still special. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's just different. I miss posts from Rob, Matt Mickey, Greg/MO, Ben buying equipment quicker than people buy milk, you, Mantis, Quick, Vito, etc., but times change. People have lives to live. Some get tired of the forum thing. Some people get other hobbies. Some people have kids and family obligations. It's the way it is I suppose. We have a great trailcam forum, the food plot section is doing great, the contest is booming, etc. I do enjoy a small atmosphere, but remember we were all new members somewhere at some time. It can't be a small core group forever. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
I'm the director of our local track and field days for special Olympics, and most of these goobers could not qualify for our games.
New members are great, that was not the point. When some one is purposely trolling any member, put an end to it. Any of us will react if poked enough. I hope bh.com gets many more members, but I hope they never forget guys like Buckeye,Shed, Fitz, Mike, Fran, Hooker, John M, Greg, Rob were a big part of this site. There are many more, including you Not sure why I put hooker in here, lol He has not killed diddle.
