Thank you, boys! Just got the word they are releasing him today. Despite 95% blockage of one of the veins/arteries (sorry my biology is a bit rusty) leading to/from his ventricle, he only suffered 7% damage. I'm at his house right now confiscating all his potato chips, ground beef, and processed cheese. Gotta jet before he gets here, sees me, and tries to kick my butt. He's the toughest SOB I've ever known. I'll keep sending well wishes your way. Humbled.....
Praying for your Dad and Family Tony. It's never easy brother! Just saw the other Post praying for your Dad and family as well dnoodle. I don't get on much anymore because of work but will be checking back in for updates.
Mark.....really??? Everyone else....So the surgeon couldn't really tell us much until dad has an angiogram. If the arteries and aneurism are good, dad may be able to have non-invasive surgery... He also said that if he feels dad will do better recovery at Cleveland he will send him there. Keep praying!
Just seeing this now Tony, I am very sorry. Stay strong for him and for your family! Your dad is in my prayers!!!
Update.... took Dad to have an angiogram on both sides of his heart today as they wanted to see the condition of his previous bypasses and aortic aneurysm repair...this could have went many ways as his first bypass was done 29 years ago... everything was clear and the aneurysm repair was still perfect...praise Jesus I want to thank you all for your prayers...Thursday at 11:30 we find out if Dad will be going to The Cleveland Clinic for non invasive valve.replacement or open heart....either way my dad will get the.valve fixed and be able to return to normal soon...Lord willing... Keep touching God for my Dad everyone!
Praying Tony... for you, your dad, and everyone involved in his care. Hopefully soon, you'll have some outstanding news to tell us.
