Wow, I can say I'm envious of you guys in the midwest:D Kids have another two weeks here, yet and that's actually pretty early around here. A friend of mine is going into the third week of June due to snow make ups.
Matt I don't think they (southern Midwest) have snow days like we do here, I think my nephews last day is June 11.
Date with the girlfriend tonight. Relaxing tomorrow morning/afternoon - Will be attending a 40 person party bus for my brothers girlfriends college graduation. Sunday - Recuperate (hopefully won't have too bad of a headache) Monday - Pressure wash the entire chicken barn (holds 50,000 chickens)
It's not just the mid-west Matt. My boys were exempt from their middle school finals and have been out since Wed. My daughter has her Kindergarten program today. After it is over the kids are done until August.
I will be finishing food plots and cutting up some wood. It's shaping up to be a great weekend weather wise so I gotta get as many projects as possible done before the summer heat gets here. Probably have a few cold beers this weekend as well!
I know it's different all across the country. It's a district decision in many places. There are schools that go year round with longer breaks spread throughout. I had just never heard of a school starting in August or early September(like yours and I'm assuming the midwest) and ending that early. That's crazy. Anyways, hijack over.
Kiddos are goin to MO with Nana, I plan to kill a stupid turkey and rip some lips. Drink some beer ... and spend some time ALONE with my lovely wife
Headed to the lake with the family for a weekend of walleye fishing, grilling, pontooning, beers, campfires, s'mores for kiddos and anything else I can think of that's fun. Definitely looking forward to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm going to Des Moines to a wedding. That will also require a trip to El Bait Shop. Also sending Hooker some food. He never has enough.
Finally a weekend off with no sporting events for the kids. Just me and the family. I am going to take everyone fishing on Sunday including my mother and father in law. And on Monday morning I am going to wake up before dark and take my oldest two fishing until we drop.
Not around here. First week in June at the soonest. This year a lot of places have had to add days because of all the snow days this year.
My youngest graduated last weekend. It just doesn't take kids in the mid-west that long to get an education. Quick learners you might say.
Tomorrow waiting for the building inspector to look over the pool wiring...then back filling the trench. Sunday: Family and friends at the house/pool for our annual memorial day cookout...kinda stressin cause last year i burnt the outside of the burgers and the inside were almost raw....LMAO!!!!!! Monday: running at dawn, relaxing and trying to NOT talk about hunting in front of my wife for a day!
We are heading up to the cabin this weekend. We will be fishing, wheeling, shooting (bows and guns) and depending how much green popped in the woods this past week - maybe a little more scouting. Just found out today I didn't get drawn for MN bear...so don't have to put any more work in to that for a 2nd year in a row
