I bought a Tru-Fire Hardcore Max release. Love the quality and comfort and I'm accurate w/ it. However, upon release, something is pinching/biting my cheek. It's a hook style release, not a caliper. I think I'm giving it away and going back to my 15 y.o. Cobra caliper release. Anyone else have this problem?

Go to a carter rx-1 and never look back. Pricey but it is worth it. Absolutely fantastic with a very crisp heavy trigger with no travel. And the ITS spring system is top notch for no travel and heavy trigger

I had a trufire 360 foldback or something, for 2 days.
Shot it about 15x and it went off twice (with an arrow in luckily) and nearly broke my bow.
    I binned it.

I have one and love it...not issues with it pinching my face. How is it pinching you?

I have a hardcore max 4 finger with the hook and don't have any problems with it pinching my face.
I also have a 360 flipback release that is a caliper, sometimes it does grab a beard hair.

I can't explain why it's pinching me. Thought it may actually be the d-loop somehow scratching me since it's basically touching my face w/ that open style release. Whatever's happening, I'm starting to anticipate the the pinch and it's effecting my shot. I bagged it.

I think you have it adjusted to long. Mine was doing the same thing and that was the problem. You want it adjusted so the trigger is in the fist joint from the end of your finger.

Sounds to me like you are burying the string into your cheek to much "which can also cause accuracy issues"...Try not to press it into your cheek so hard and see if that helps.
