I think tablets are still in that 5v range. Could be wrong about that. Would have to look at a label for sure. The other thing is charging a 9v or 12 v battery with 5v is like trying to push water up hill. You may get it to charge but how good of a charge and how long will it take to get it there? Either way in Dan's case there is no reason not to get a charger that does 9v or 12v. Might as well get the right one.

I think you guys are on the money......as long as the voltage is set accordingly that should 100% work
Thanks, but maybe you missed where we said solar is out. Not reliable enough. Not to mention, this is for a backcountry hunt, I'm not hauling that in on my back.
Ok try this. Portable lithium ion battery pack Battery Power Station weighs only 1 pound, portable battery system, USB external battery
Can you explain why this is a better option? I'm can't seem to figure it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In theory it should work. I see no reason it wouldn't. Like you said you'll need to make sure the polarity is correct on the cords.
Not to be rude, but did you read the thread? I'm not looking for battery recommendations, I'm wondering about the cig adapter.
