That was an awesome self filmed hunt. Im a hugh fan of self filming. That bird was so occupied you could have done jumping jacks and he would never had known. Great hunt!!

Couldn't seal the deal this morning for the VA opener. Got set on a bird I put to bed last night and was working him early. Had a coyote trot by between the bird and I, bird caught sight of him and he was gone. Wont make it out for another VA hunt until my trip to Ohio for that opener ends. Bring on the Buckeye birds!

guys...i hope this year turns around quick. I have been hunting a lot of hen'd up toms. Jakes are coming in on a string..but big boys are hanging close to the ladies.
So far I have but in over 52hrs in 6 Days....Here in NC where I am at, once the warm weather comes back around thursday of this week, it should bring about a change in behavior and lonely toms. Good Luck to all and I will keep you posted

I will have to be voted the worst teammate every! I haven't been able to hunt one time. Both of my hunts fell through and the landowner I was going to hunt on decided to put a feeder out by my blind to get the birds to come in... IT IS ILLEGAL TO BAIT TURKEYS IN THAT AREA. Since it is only a 27 acre spot I'm not taking a chance on being accused of baiting. Sorry fellas.

    Anyone else doing any good?

Hours were growing long..and had made decision to layoff a few days and storm rolled thru while up at my dad's and walked out to bird gobbling..grabbed shotgun and hit the woods and in 15min he was on the ground...great time to leave my bow at house!
