I'm surprised there hasn't been a movement to include feral hogs or mouflon sheep. I understand the whole "they're not native wild game" argument, but they are big game that have self sustaining wild populations in North America. To me they don't seem any more far fetched to be on that list than say, a pacific walrus or jaguar haha.

How about you, anything on the list you wouldn't want to hunt?

I've hunted for 7/29 and taken 4/29 with the bow. Will be chasing 4 new species this fall as well. Hope to take atleast 2 of the 4.

I doubt I ever go for the slam unless I just end up close to it and have money to blow later in life. The Representative slam is my goal...

    1/5 Caribou
    1/3 Moose
    1/3 Elk
    1/4 Sheep
    1/4 Bear
    1/5 Deer
    Mtn Goat
    Pronghorn
    Mtn Lion
    Musk Ox or Bison

I want to expand that personally to include the entire deer slam (5 species instead of just 1), both bison AND Musk Ox, and a Brown/Grizzly bear along with a Black bear instead of just one... That brings the total to 16 and throw in alligator for good measure.

The cool thing is I should be able to do this archery slam completely DIY outside of a mountain lion because I want to hunt that over dogs...

Cats would definately be last on the list but with all that idle time on my hands I guess I'd hunt them too. Elk and a Yukon moose hunt would be top of the list.

Super 10 would be cool to accomplish. I can do 9 out of the 10 right here in Montana. I am currently working on my own "Montana Slam"

    Mule Deer - done
    Whitetail - done
    Elk - done
    Black Bear - done
    Antelope - doe
Bighorn Sheep - draw/ possibly this year
    Shiras Moose - draw
    Mountain Goat - draw
    Mountain Lion - OTC
    Buffalo - draw

I may also add wolf to the list someday. Word is, we may be getting a grizzly season too.

Absolutely. It's awful. Honestly, I think we need to we wait, though. In two years wolves will be under state jurisdiction in which they can be profiled under a varmint and shoot on sight category. Once we have "won" that we attack the grizzlies.

Opposition has a lot of money.

This may make me an oddball but the super slam doesn't really interest me. I'm happy with my whitetails and the occasional hog. I would like to go after elk someday but many species don't interest me all that much.

No, I would definitely enjoy every single one of them. Especially the mountain animals.
