I use a dry mix that I buy here. Every one seemed to like it last year. Tried adding beer to it and making it a wet batter, but could not get the grease hot enough to get it crispy. That will not be a problem this year with the fish fryer on hand.

heat is the key. gotta be 375 before you put the fish in. Dry mix is good but can't make into a batter.

    Solution.

All you guys cook your best camp food, and ill test it all out and let you know whos is the best ;)

For the record, Hanks sandwhiches are still #1 in my heart. And Lester's asian flavored veni-bites were spectacular ;)

You can cook those Saturday night, that is when Tom did his veni-bites last year.

Hanks sandwiches were damn good too, but since he is so busy with the hunt club he isn't camp cook no more.

The fish will be better this year since I will have an actual fryer.

The real question is, will they be there again this year, and she make another one?

Don't put a cheeseball in front of a fat kid.

We should space out all these meals like 2hrs apart so we have plenty of room for everything :D

I was mulling it over, and thinking that if someone can supply a grill, and if people want to pitch in or whatever and get buns, I will bring a pile of venison hot dogs and brats down, and just maybe, some bear burgers. Not sure how many of us there will be to feed so I don't want to bring too much, nor too little
