Anyone ever actually get on the phone while out turkey hunting? I don't think I ever have as I never am in a blind and always sit in the ready position since I know turkeys love to appear from no where when they are silent.

Ya, normally I post pics on facebook and what not. Text with buddies that are out hunting and see what they are seeing.

Sit in a blind with my bow... phone... and a buddy usually. The phone is on vibrate and is for emergency use - just in case.

I always set up in a blind for turkeys so my phone comes with. I like to upload pics to Facebook so my buddies can stay updated, or I am on tapatalk snooping around on here.

I typically take naps. I set my phone to wake me up every 20 mins or so. My alarm is the sound of a bunch of hens cutting & yelping with a few gobbles toward the end. It keeps me alert!!!! At least that is what I plan to tell the game warden if he catches me with it. LMAO!!!!

No. I keep a prepaid cell with about an hours worth of time in my pack for emergency use. Other than that I'm there to hunt and to get away from the main stream. In the fall when I'm sitting in a deer stand all day I've taken a book with me and an Ipod with an audio book once or twice...1 ear piece in with the volume at the lowest setting. Last turkey season I took a guy turkey hunting who wouldn't get off his cell phone...we spotted a bird strutting in a field and we crawled around the edge of the field to get closer...ever time we stopped he had his phone out not paying attention to anything but that tiny screen. I eventually to it away from him and told him he could have it back when we got to the truck...after that happened I didn't try my hardest to get him on that bird.
