Hey all, My name is Chris DownY. I am a somewhat new Bow hunter. I am in the U.S. army and i am stationed in Fort Riley. I hunt on public land and i mainly hunt on Fort Riley. Lots of deer, turkey, and some elk on base here. I just got back from a deployment and i am really looking to do this whole hunting experience right this year. As soon as i got back i went out and followed some tracks in the snow and posted a trail cam in untouched area. Hoping i can scout properly and actually fill a buck tag and a doe tag rather than eat a tag sandwich like i did in 2012. well just wanted to say hi. Sincerely Chris.
Hey Chris Welcome I am also new here. Took my archery class a month ago still looking for a bow for next season.
Thanks y'all for the warm welcome.I am not quite sure on the exact last day of season for archery but I believe it goes all the way in to January or middle of February. Wish I could hunt but my wife and family are priority right now.... Plus its way to darn cold compared to where I just came from! Haha.
