So as soon as the 2013 season ended I was thinking about things I could improve upon for next year, what are some of the things you would want to change for this upcoming year?

Last year was a first time in the stand.
    - better shot consistency
    - stand placement
    - deer patterning

New #1 deer means new areas to focus on. Hoping mother nature will cooperate so I can get out shed hunting more this year.

Upped my draw weight to 70 and I'm gonna give the Carbon Express PTX arrows a try. Might even start using Monster Raxx this year.

Start a couple mineral sites this spring.

Hang a few new stands where I always climbed last year.

Bring more bucks through my one spot which has no shortage of does. Still figuring this out.

Hunt Ohio instead of MI when possible to increase odds.

Not use my only buck tag in September, and get more cover/food/habitat available for the deer.

Work as much as I can so I can get ahead to hunt during season. Right now I'm miserably failing, I'm working but I'm not making money.
Line up more places to hunt. I've already got three new spots for next year. I think that's the biggest thing I want to get done this off season. I think that's the number one thing about getting consistent deer movement is lack of pressure and the more places you have to hunt to lessen the pressure on areas the better you're going to be.
My son wants to put out a food plot but we really don't own enough ground to do that. I may just tinker with something for him though.
This may rub some the wrong way but I'd like to have a large stash of corn before season comes in. Try to get it from a farmer or something CHEAPER is the main reason.
There is a few odds and ends I want to pick up equipment wise but my biggest focus is getting spots to hunt.

Find more room in my freezer...and find more money for my taxidermist! gonna be a banner year for me!!!!!

    * do not put pressure on my property...resist temptation..stay out..edges only

    * only hunt the edges all the big bucks are close by, not deep.

*if the wind is not right DO NOT HUNT

    * overcome my fear of heights to be able to comfortably use my LW assault
