This is Damien Jaxxxson....... I'm shooting Carbon Express 350 red's, red CE launch pad nocks with 125gr Grizz2's up front. Total arrow weight is 450gr, he clocked out at 311fps putting my set up around 96ke. I'm hoping dad, mom and Bambi all line up next to each other broadside so I can blow through the whole family tree I have the 70 pounds fully torqued out and am ready to rock. I didn't try the bow before I bought, blind faith and online shopping put this bow right in my hands. This bow isn't for everyone, no bow is I suppose, I love it, the end of the draw cycle is a bit rough but I'm used to it, also if you try to let a drawn arrow down it will dislocate your shoulder if you don't have good strength. The short brace isn't as bad as you might think, good form is a must. It took me all of about a week to settle into the bow, two months later I'm getting respectable consistent groups at 50 yards. Though I bought a fast bow I don't feel like a speed freak, I'm not out to shoot the lightest arrow the law will allow just to say I'm doing it. I'm after Whitetail primarily, later down the road I'd like 1 bear and maybe an elk or two.
Bear Motives 7 70lbs @ 29", QAD HDX, MBG Ambush Ascent, 340 Axis n/f, 100 gr SlickTrick mags, ElCheapo stab. Bought new off Ebay for $600.00 even. Probably much slower than Damien's but I never buy high octane bows.
I just started shooting a Mathews Helim. So far I'm in love with it. Can't wait to try it out in the deer woods this coming season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still shooting my 2011 Elite Pure this year, but have upgraded to an HHA sight. Best all around bow I have ever shot and my indoor scores have reflected that since switching. Been thinking about pulling the trigger on a new Energy 35 after winter leagues.
