So with having my bow recently super tuned and a new string added I would like to add just a couple more items before the next deer season comes in. I wanted to hear from you all about what things you use to silence your bow?

I also added a string stop to mine so I hope to really silence my bow with that addition. What do you all think about the vibracheck limb silencers? Would you use the vibracheck limb silencers AND the limbsaver round silencers for the limbs?

I think the two biggest things you can do to quiet your bow is shooting a heavier arrow, and a string stop. Limb silencers will help as well as string leaches and the like. But nothing has worked for me like the first two.

I have had a string stop and limb suppressors on my bow, but i just had some string leeches put on when i got my new string. They noticeably quieted the string down. Best $ addition besides string stop i think.

My best investment in silencing my bow was installing a set of BowJax's RizerJax (after shooting a heavy arrow and having a string stop). They made a huge difference to my bow.

Thanks for all the help guys. What do you consider a heavy arrow? I'm currently shooting a 361 Grain Arrow. I need to have my bow turned up a little more as draw weight is concerned. I'm only getting 241 FPS at a 55lb draw weight. I'm scared that a heavier arrow will slow my bow down.

Heavy arrow.....9+ gr per pound (of DW) I killed deer years ago when 200fps was fast.

Sounds like bowjax is the way to go. I looked into adding something like this to my bow. After a hard year of shooting the holy heck out of it I am thinking I may add these. I watched some dated videos on bowjax. Seems they should be still relevant today.

That's plenty... 220 fps +- with a 600+- total grain arrow is a very deadly combination of power, speed and silence.

Thanks for all the help guys! I added a string stop when I had my new string installed. Hopefully I'll get out this afternoon and put some arrows down range and see how quite the bow is now.

Also, on the PSE Stinger HP it came with the rubber limb dampeners. Mine look like they are dry-rotting or cracking. Should I remove them and add either bowjax or limbsavers? Or should I leave them on and also add bowjax and or limbsavers?

I have tried several different types of string silencers with my set up and I find that good ol cat whiskers work the best and last much, much longer. I pre cut mine at 1 1/4" and tie on.
