    Hey everyone!

I'd like to talk rests for a minute, I'm currently shooting a whisker biscuit but it's starting to wear out. I had another rest in mind the ripcord code red. Just wondering what everyone's thought are on this rest and the big question I have, Is one better than the other drop away vs like a whisker biscuit? And are there any other rests that you would recommend?

Although I'm new to the bow and bow hunting at the recommendation of a seasoned archer I looked into a drop rest and with the guidance of the pro shop at my local range I went with the Vaportrails limb driver and I love it already! It's not overly mechanical like most drop rests I looked at! It's simple and is operated by a line tied off to the top limb! When you draw the rest activates and brings the arrow to shooting position and when u release it falls a way! No ratchets to wind or any of that! Check it out online! [IMG][IMG]

I'm a big fan of the QAD HDX. One thing that stopped me from getting a rip cord code red was that you can't draw and let down with out the rest going down. The QAD stays up until you shoot. Myself, I don't want a rest the rises when I draw I like that the HDX stays where I put it until I either shoot it or "flip the switch" and let it down.

I'm a big fan of the WB for hunting. If it's wearing out, simply replace it. I've had to do this in the past.

Another vote for the QAD HDX. Great rest, great customer service, made in USA. I would avoid the Hunter model if you look at QAD, lots of problems with that rest on archerytalk.

I would probably run a WB if I didn't shoot arrows with so much helical. The one I tried really mangled my fletching in a hurry.

I shoot the QAD Lock down, I have had it for a couple years now with out any issues and am very happy with it. I am sure you you will get a lot of different suggestions so ultimately you have to find one that has all the functions and capabilities you are looking for and see what your price range is.

I went from a WB to a QAD. It was kinda weird at first. After about 30 shots it felt very natural. As you know as an owner of a WB, it is IMO the best rest for the money. Never had a problem with the WB. I only switched because of archery veteran recommendation and am now glad I did.

I shot a bisket on my old bow, on my anarchy Im using the QAD hdx, awesome rest, load arrow, lock arm upright, can draw and let down and unless you release the arrow the rest stays up.

Stick with the WB unless you just like tinkering with your bow. IMO
    They have 100% guarantee's.

Wb's are great, a nice never fail rest. The code red I've heard mixed opinions on, Although I've never owned one so can't speak from experience. I've owned an apache, pro v, and a qad hdx. The apache's toolless adjustment is great. And its affordable. The pro v and qad are my favorites though. But for hunting I'd go qad simply because of its let down feature.
