Well, I have been wanting to post this for awhile but I have been very busy lately. Jan. 8th after spending my evening trying to kill a doe with my bow, I received a call from my taxidermist that my buck was done. I shot him Nov. 15th and had him back Jan. 8th. This was a new form that shows more of the shoulder and I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. The whole back of the bucks head is missing hair and my taxidermist said that he had multiple puncture wounds and was full of puss from fighting. I couldn't be happier with how he turned out and the story of my season with this buck. Quick recap is that this was a new deer to the property with my first game cam pic of him taken on Oct 20th. I hunted him hard for a few weeks and literally every time I set up on him, my trail cam showed pics of me walking in to stand, followed by pics of me leaving the stand, followed 10-15 minutes later by this buck showing up and working the scrape. The two evenings before I shot him I had set up on the wrong end of the field he was chasing doe in( first eve I was on north end and he was on south, second evening I was on south and he was on north). I got him the next morning on the edge of a near by bedding area. I wasn't going to score him because I really don't care, but I decided to score him for the hell of it today and came up with a gross non-typical score of 114-6/8". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks guys. I tried uploading the pic from my phone with TapaTalk and it killed the picture quality. I'll get a better pic up tomorrow that actually shows the quality of the mount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
