This is correct. A widget is worth what a person is willing to pay for it. I on the other hand waited for the market to change and will get a good deal on an AR.
Indeed, but my whole point through this was not to order from CTD and instead support the guys like Kentucky Gun Co. that didn't rape and pillage. At one point I emailed CTD several times showing them what other mail order companies were selling stuff for and asking why they were charging 2-3 times and they never answered. In my eyes they took advantage of the panic and profited while other retailers only slightly bumped prices. As stated I will never buy from them again and will go to the local and online retailers that didn't look at their customer's as helpless idiots with cash.
I do understand where you are coming from. $2k for those guns is ridiculous. Pretty F'd up that the name of that company is "Cheaper than Dirt"? .

I've got one I just play around with it and it's a Mossberg .22 and then the one I actually use for coyote hunting and would probably even use it for deer hunting is my Bushmaster .223. The mossberg was under $400 and is cheap as hell to just sit and target shoot or take to the range.

Back to the top..... I am torn between buying the dpms sportical or buying a Savage axis 223 bolt gun. The ar would be nice for quick follow up shot and higher ammo capacity but the bolt gun will save me lots of money in which I can use for ammo. I hate choices lol. If you go with the bolt gun on top of ammo you would be saving for optics. I have a ar but to be honest I probably take my bolt gun more predator hunting.
The bolt gun to me if you are a hunter oriented shooter will be more useful and be used more...up to you though brother.
Yes it is. I have a decent 3-9×40 scope that I'm going to through on whatever gun I decide on. I'm kind of a cheapo so I'll probably end up with the bolt. They do the same thing at the end of the day. Might build an ar later for fun. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
An AR and a bolt .223 are only similar in cartridge. There's no reason you can't hunt with an AR. And they're way more fun than a bolt gun. Build one now. Go to Palmetto State Armory and buy a stripped lower and start from there. They had stripped lowers for 49.00 the other day. There are lots of 'zombie shoots', high power matches, urban carbine courses and other fun things to do with your AR. I take mine out for coyotes and jackrabbits. I have yet to fire a round at a yote but I have shot at a few jacks. You can by a full polymer lower from joebob outfitters for $109. Top it with a rock river predator upper for another $625. I have also been looking into SATO arms uppers. They are a little over $400 but I am not sure of the quality so if anyone on here has any experience with those chime in.
