I have always enjoyed seeing photos of the previous season. Feel free to post pictures of your families, kids, anyone or anything that made a memory. Use Hunting , bow fishing , target , 3 D photos, but all with a bow, after all this is Bowhunting.com
Last few, I convinced Mrs. Wolf to come to Illinois with me in September to check stands and such. We had a blast and she is going back with me.
Morning of first bow kill of 2013 First bow kill of 2013 shooting with my uncle and cousin. Cousins first brand new compound and my uncle shooting for the first time in 25 years. First blood from my first bow buck ever. Blood trail from my buck. First bow buck. Me and my future Bowhunter with my buck. Me and my two sons. Doesn't really pertain to hunting but, look for future pics with them like this and deer in the pics. Hey, I'm a proud dad and don't show them off much. Buck I was after. Last hunt. Sticknstringswife shooting. This is a more rare occasion than I would like it to be so, I have to share it. 2013 was my best all bow season so far. I couldn't be happier with the memories!!!!
This is all I really have from last season, other than a bunch of boring trail cam pics. It was dark when I found him, so a butcher shop pic is all I could get.
This season was all about my sons first year of bow hunting. It also was a year that I got back into bow hunting after getting tired of the leases and the greed and all the negatives that are in deer hunting now and just let all that stuff not bother me. I just had fun. I guess I started to look at it like my 11 year old looks at and I've fell in love with bow hunting all over again. His first archery deer And our double
Not in the right order but you get the idea. Got my first bear this year, had a great trip to South Dakota, and put down a nice buck with the bow, and my girlfriend got her biggest buck
Well this thread reminded me I need to get better at taking pictures!! All I have to show off is this:
Great thread!! This year was a great one for me. I was able to harvest one of my target bucks early into the season on september 20th. things slowed down to a stand still until I went to Illinois for a 6 day hunt with outdoor partners outfitters. I saw the most and biggest bucks I've ever seen! I came home empty handed but it was my own doing, I could have harvested 120-130 class bucks almost every day. This season was also my first season at attempting to self film. it was a last minute decision, I decided in late august to do it, so I scraped up some change and got the gear the cheapest I could. I quickly fell in love with self filming! I enjoy talking to the camera, its like a friend that doesn't make fun of me....LOL here's some pics and a few quick videos. here's the video of it....Don't ask where the killshot is.....LOL A Buck in Illinois I let walk
Here are a few of my season. This was one of my favorite years hunting ever since my oldest son hunted for the first time and shot a doe with his rifle his first morning out. I was also able to have both my boys help track the deer I shot with my bow which was fun. The trail cam pics are of a few deer that I was chasing this year. It was my first year hunting this property and I still have much to figure out, but there is a lot of potential. I am looking forward to next year!
Doesnt help this year but next year Ill be taking the DSLR out with me hunting. Taking some great pictures is a close second to getting a nice buck with my bow.
My hunting time was limited to 7 times in the stand this season but I did manage to get 2 in the freezer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
