Sorry if this has been brought up already, I did a search but didn't find anything. After reading the the thread about the hypodermics I looked at Rages website to see if they mentioned the new blade design to prevent them from breaking. This was their homepage[IMG]

So are they saying any of their products purchased on eBay, Amazon, or Alibaba are not authentic? Or any dealers don't use those sites to sale their products? :dan:

That's a little bit ridiculous....so according to them a huge archery supply company like bowhunters super store who sells on eBay and Amazon isn't a dealer?

What I really want to know is can the counterfeits be any worse then the originals.....

My good friend purchased a pack of each. I can personally tell you they look -weigh -feel -& shoot identical. The only diffeence is the price -about1/2.
They also kill the same. He harvested a few deer with both. The only difference you will notice besides price is packaging-Its amazing
what advertising does to the price of a product.

I saw this a few months back. I have always purchased my Rage broadheads from BPS, Cabelas, D--ks, or any archery shop I found them. I use the web to find the practice heads if anything. I have never had a problem with them breaking.

I also laughed even though I knew it was coming before I even clicked the thread... I was wondering how many posts it would take before that comment was made!

It's possible I'm also a victim of a counterfeit batch, as I bought mine shipped direct from Amazon. However, RAGE is full of it if they think buying from a big-name dealer or archery shop is going to prevent counterfeiting in the least - I can tell you from professional experience that large retailers get shipped counterfeits all the time. You mean to tell me that Amazon isn't a large-scale retailer!!!???? Plus, even high-end stores like Macy's end up inadvertently selling CF designer purses, shoes, etc all the time. The Chinese are clever SOBs.

I believe they are stating buyer beware. Many counterfeits in those places.

Honestly I think they are all the same broadhead. Kind of like alot of the trail cameras. Manufactured from the same factory just labeled different.
Rage claims counterfiet because they are identical.

Are rage broadheads made in America?

The ones on ebay are made in China.

The magnus counterfeits on eBay are also made in china and there are subtle differences. The ferrule comes to a sharp point on the fakes where on the originals they are rounded slightly and the screws are shiny on the fakes and not on the real ones.

There is a huge chinese counterfeit broadhead market in china right now.

Best bet is to stay away from any of them coming from China.

Talking Magnus you must be talking aout the Stingers and buzcuts. I just bought some 2 blade Magnus heads and they were screw proof (no screws). Kinda similar to the Magnus II heads. Honestly I'm pissed at the company who bought the Magnus heads. I'm not a fan of how they do business.

Just shows how stupid some companies are....slamming head on top of desk. Doesn't effect me one bit as I don't and never will shoot them personally, but seriously that is sad.

I was just cruising through google as seen this topic. How many times has Rage sold or changed companies? How does WalMart sell Rage originals much cheaper than others? I can tell you this...I bought a very large lot that was either left overs, clearance from another company that if you do the research is somehow linked with walmart. I got a decent deal..like half price during off season. Went to sell them and instantly got negative feedback on ebay. So I went and bought the same pack from walmart. Called Rage and they said if it wasn't purchased from one of there retailers it was a fake. I did not tell them it was from walmart.. Asked if I could send it to them to verify if they were or not. (said I bought from ebay which was a lie). They said immediately after receiving it that it was infact a fake. Screws were wrong, etc.
Since I have done research how this can be..there are several old N.O.S (new old stock) that you can come across

I missed this reply when this thread was originally posted.

I wasn't aware that magnus changed hands and it was magnus that reported the fake heads on ebay.

Are you sure yours are not fakes?

No their not. At least I don't think so anyway. lol! Thundervalley Archery Classic took over all of the older style bh's of Magnus- The old style Snuffer and all of the old style 2 blades with and without bleeders. The Magnus Broadheads no longer make these heads.
