    How close do you guys from the deer's bedding area when hanging your treestand? What is a safe distance in order to get in and out of the treestand without them hearing and noticing you?

    All depends on access to the spot! If there is a quite enough way in you can't be to close!

    You've gotta have the right wind don't matter how far you hunting from the bed!

    There's a second video you can watch too. They're a little long but very informative. This guy kills most of his trophies on state land and he's become pretty skilled in stealth over the years.

    Often times I set up within 75 yards of a specific buck bed in the afternoon when a buck is in the bed.

    On the rare occasion that I hunt in the morning I will sometimes set-up within 10 yards of the bed anticipating the buck's return. Last year I shot my buck while he was in his bed 12 yards away.

    Wind and access is obviously crucial and it's important to know what the buck can see when in his bed..
