yep. Something about long range shots over a field that I really like. Haven't killed at any impressive distances but looking forward to it. new lease, so I'm still getting familiar with the property, but old one had a 200 acre field that I enjoyed hunting.
I use a gun every once in a while in the winter but only while predator hunting. I like to shoot guns but when it comes to hunting, bow only for me.
RI archery goes from sep. 15th to jan. 31st with no interuptions, so I strictly bowhunt. i just never had the desire to hunt with a gun.
I really enjoy gun hunting. Its how I started hunting when young. This is my second season with the bow and absolutely love it but I do enjoy breaking out the guns when I can. RI has no rifle season just muzzleloader and shotgun seasons. I don't have a muzzleloader (yet) but my Ithica Deerslayer 12guage will be in the woods with me in December.
I use whatever the season permits except in Illinois since i dont have a FOID card yet. But down south i hunt bow, rifle and primitive.
