I plan to hunt all weekend except tomorrow morning. I'm hearing rumors the rut is starting to pick up. I hoping to put a arrow in a decent buck this weekend or a doe i seen with a tracking collar 2 weeks ago. Good luck to everyone hunting this weekend! Kill
That would be pretty dang awesome to shoot a radio collar deer. I will be able to get out on Sunday and hunt but other then that I am not going to be able to hunt until my vacation on the 15th
If you shoot the doe with the tracking collar you should cut it off and tie it to a bundle of helium balloons just to screw with the DNR.
I dont know how everyones else's weekend has been but i havent seen a single deer! I had big plans to hunt all day tomorrow but instead it will be my first official day at Bass Pro. So instead of the day off celebrating what my brothers and sisters in the armed forces have done and will do in the tree stand like i do every year on veterans day i'll be learning how to work the cash registers. On a little worse note a guy that hunts the same farm as jim, kristine, and myself smoked one of the 8's i was after. It was one of the smaller ones but it wouldve been hard to let him walk.
I went out last night and saw a doe. At last light I saw a body moving in the timber near me but couldn't tell what it was. I am going to assume it was a 180" monster that I just missed out on. I also recieved a text this morning as I know alot of you did. I hope its a big boy!
Sent out a PM to a few guys who havn't been on in a while to see how their seasons are going. Now that I am starting to see bucks hitting the ground everywhere it is getting me super pumped for my vacation. I was planning on leaving Friday morning but I may have to head out Thursday night so I can be in stand by Friday morning.

I'm worse than you think. The shed I have my deer hanging in has a propane heater...so I was really just being lazy. And seeing that it was going to be 45 degrees today I opted to wait. :p

You guys obviously aren't drinking enough beer while you cut your deer up if your worried about the cold! I know your deer was in a shed when it was 17 out but be careful of the deer freezing and thawing. That can change the quality of your meat.
I've never had a problem in the past 10 years. I plan on drinking some beers tonight with a buddy who said he'd "help". I know you are all waiting for the score. I think some of you care about it more than I do!
