Alright, doe is posted in scorecard thread. Hope I did everything right. So I got in the stand at 5:10 and she was down at 5:25. Startled me how quick she came out. Right behind me to 10 yards in front of me. Double lunged her and blew out her front right shoulder. I love those NAP killzones with the gold tips. They do so much damage. She made it maybe 100 yards. Was a good evening.

Deer were chasing here tonight. Called in a small buck and had a 2.5 year old chasing doe around hard. He was chasing them around for hours. Drove me nuts because just before I drew on one of them he came and chased her off again. Fun to watch though, thats why we do it, the love of outdoors and wildlife.
Welp, not the way i planned on getting a buck on the groud today.. Around first light this morning i had a coyote come in 60yards out. knew my hunt was over for the morning.. Ended up losing sight of it, half hour later i see it come back with a leg or a stick in its mouth? So an hour later i got down and went to check out where i thought the coyote was. ended up finding a massive deer bedding area in some very tall grass on the edge of one of my fields with runs and shoots leading to it and then this guy off to the side... what a waste, would have been a nice up and coming buck on my farm in the years to follow. Went back and got the backhoe dug a hole and buried it leaving just fresh soil and not disturbing the bedding area to much. hopefully eliminating all the traces of it to keep the coyotes away and get the deer back there. hopefully.
Saw a big one in my front yard this a.m. Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow but will definitely be out sat
Well i'll be out at it again tomorrow morning. Have to miss the evening hunt tonight and tomorrow due to family stuff. Good luck to those getting out, hope to see some more deer hit the ground!
Posted my deer score, 112 4/8. Not as big as I thought, after thinking about it I may re-measure, my son was writing down the score as I called it out and may have made a mistake. Either way a respectable deer for my area. Dave
It's on here! A lot of chasing tonight! Had a hot doe run full speed by me being chased. She stopped 20yds behind me, but took off the other way. May have caught my wind. Saw a big buck chasing on the other side of the bean field too. That made up for dropping my bow out of the stand this morning. Luckily it is fine and still shooting straight.
Well Taking Friday off, as i feel the rut is just about to kick off, saw some small bucks chasing this past weekend. Hope to hit the woods hard and hope to have some points to put up, as this is my last weekend before our gun season opens up. then it's hit or miss on deer movement past that.

Might get out one more time this week. Was out 3 days last week and saw 4 does. MN firearms season open Saturday, bringing my son up north, hope to getout bowhunting Mon and Tues mornings though
