Not much here in East Central Iowa.

Saw a dead buck road killed this morning so that could be a sign of things to come but the weekend was a bust for me.

I'm really looking forward to the 9th and 10th right now.

I hear a lot of people saying it's on. I thought it was because I had a small buck chasing a few does last weekend but I saw very little activity this past weekend. Hoping things pick up this coming weekend.

Right now I think the bucks are still in a territorial stage where they are looking to fight. Within the next week they should start looking for does. Hopefully.

Saturday I walked some great ground in Central, IL doing some upland game before my football game. The deeper we got away from the cows, the bigger and more impressive the scrapes and rubs got. I saw 33 scrapes and some would qualify as freaking huge! Does were running around in the middle of the day

Haven't seen any rut activity yet in MD. Only a few does and fawns/spikes just going about normal feeding routines.

It's been sorta slow for me too. Howard/Frederick Counties small bucks annoying the crap out of does not ready yet. Does still on normal feeding patterns.

Here in Central NY this past weekend alot of good bucks hit the ground mid day (including mine ;) ) He was at 10 am just cruising alone. I also know of another buck taken cruising at 1030. So I would say seeking is def happening. This weekend should be real good around my part of the woods. Opening day of rifle next Sat the 16th should be real hot. Cant wait to get back in the woods.

I have only seen 1 small fork-horn so far during the day... big boys seem to be out only at night around here.

Friend of a friend shot this guy this morning at the farm we all hunt. Said he watched the buck breed a doe then shot him.

Seems like the littler bucks are out and about, hopefully the big boys follow soon.

This rut has been kinda strange...saw a huge 8 pt chasing a doe and grunting on Oct 27th and 28th. Not much happened after that but this past week starting to see some chasing by younger bucks. Have had a couple friends saying that they are seeing some bigger bucks starting to chase and one doe get mounted. This week should get hot with the moon getting full.

Remember men... if it's 'lock-down' you won't see any activity until after the 'deed' has been done. ;)

I havent seen any real rut activity yet. Few little bucks fighting but nothin to much to make me believe that its gonna be on in full force before PA's first season closes

I saw a few young bucks chasing, but not really hardcore, a few weeks ago but the weather has been windy and deer have hunkered down lately. If this week turns cold as it's supposed to, I think it will kick things into gear here in SW Ohio.

Yeah I really don't think it has hit yet. The colder weather has made some of the bigger bucks move but there hasn't been chasing at a high level yet. I saw two small bucks messing around but nothing to make me think that it's here. Today on the way to work there was an increase in roadkill, so Im feeling like Saturday (last day for PA) will be a great to be in the woods.
