Has happened on more than one occasion, lol. Action there usually keeps me awake though. Could have shot a couple deer easily with a rifle today....

ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! Man the points are starting to pile up now! I gotta get my butt out there and do my part pretty soon or I'll be the shame of the team!

Well it cleared out late this evening about 4:30 went from raining to clear sky in an hour....I decided to try to get in a stand here at home real fast. Sat in it until dark and had one walk in behind me at dark and snorted when I moved to climb down, lol.

That stand is generally pretty good, shot a couple nice bucks from it but the creek is up and cuts the traffic in at least half...Planning on hitting the OMG scrap stand in the morning.

Oh recall me telling about getting a stud on camera here at home but accidentally erased the pics and lost them? I picked that card up the other day from the same camera and he's still walking through. Here he is...My big rifle stand I mentioned earlier is about 500 yards straight behind his right ear in that first pic.

Well we scored him gross at 152 5/8 but he nets 147 1/8 I'm super excited about him I shot him off my buddy Brian's property since two of the three bucks I was after got shot and I hadn't seen or gotten any pics of the third one since season started. I'm gonna post that stats up for him in a couple mins my phone is being a pain in the butt.

Oh man that's awesome! Dang....this is a good example of how it's hard to score deer from pics from region to region...their body size can really throw off the entire guess..smaller southern deer vs larger bodied northern deer. I have one on the wall tha tis an 8 that has over 12" G2's and 11" G3's and he scored 148,5/8 and looks similar to both of the bucks taken by our team members lately but he was a big bodied brute. Didn't weigh him but I'd imagine he was close to 300 on the hoof....I couldn't drag him out...I had to get the tractor and loader and wrench him out and carry him to the house with the tractor.

Hey covey he weighed like 230 my guess on the hoof and gutted was 193 so if that helps at all and the taxidermist I took him too is the one that measured as I watched and he did what I thought was a more brutal scoring then what I would of done the buck acturally has two little stickers that he wouldn't measure said pope and young wouldn't count them so that's like a inch and a half I could of added LOL but I don't think the pictures do it justice especially since I have giant hands but once I get him back from the taxidermist ill send u some better photos.

Also nice doe there she looks like a pig and goodluck guys on hunting this week I'm only working a 6 day hitch then I'm comin home for a day to kill a doe then ill be heading to Ohio for 4 days to dint so hopefully by the time I get to Ohio there not locked down with there does

    Cool...can't wait!
Dang we should be moving up in the chart here shortly. I'd laugh for a few months if we dropped a couple 150-180 inchers and filled the doe spots and won this thing!

Good luck finding her... The place I'm hunting this weekend is nasty thick and I'm concerned about recovery if I get it done. Nothing seen from the stand yet

Wow guys well done. We're gonna have a huge bump in rankings. I'm glad you found that deer. You guys are making me jelious. I promised my wife I wouldn't hunt this weekend. But I've also done that for last 5 years of marriage and I always hunted lol. We're getting rain all day for the last three days. Tonight it's finally going to stop. Tomorrow morning may be a kill day. Ill be out there.

Awesome boys keep up the good work. And post all those deer in the contest thread. Fitz usually updates them all on weekends.

Here are the pics. She was a good sized doe, not huge but decent. Probably 3+ years old.

    Great selfie, bob!

I can take another buck, but he'd have to be a Dandy! And 4 does yet to tag out. I'm sitting in a hopeless spot so I'm gonna move. I took the stand down from the public ground after 16 hours in it without sight of a deer. I would have taken getting busted just to have some action, but no!

Gonna go stalk the burr oak river bottom shortly...
