Congrats on your buck! I'm still not seeing much for rut activity in South Central WI. Still have mature bucks showing up on the cameras at night, but usually by now I'm starting to see bucks on their feet in daylight. What's everyone else seeing in Southern WI?

Lots of activity in west central WI - Buffalo & Pepin counties are where we're getting regular reports. Several huge deer shot Sunday evening thru this morning. Hunters seeing lots of deer including quite a few bucks that are new ones. Trailcams also picking up lots of old & new bucks all day long. Rut has cranked up a TON since we left Sunday night. If you can make it to the stand in this area ASAP your odds will be increasing daily. Good luck to all! We'll keep posting all the pics we get my son & I will hopefully be able to add a few of our own this weekend!

Got this guy on Tuesday. Saw 3 bucks that afternoon sit. Missed a giant the week before. Every buck came into grunt calls. Not bad for public land!![IMG]

I have the same problem dampland has. Normally have several shooters on camera and then some questionables. This year so far all ive gotten is two for sure shooters, one i have history to and the other i do not. Where the hell did all the big boys go ? Plots are getting demolished by 1.5 year olds. Tons of does around so you would think the big guys would be showing up. Not much rut activity yet, got a bunch of small rubs, only found two big rubs so far. No where near the amount of scrapes their normally is. Sat out tonight and saw six does and one fork. Its left me saying "c'mon man"

OK... I am still baffled , The only bucks that I have on camera are at night, and still very little sign of any rut activity. Anyone hunting north of green bay? and if so are you seeing anything?

pounding three beers so i can sleep before a 3:30 departure. The plan is to hunt all day Saturday. I'm going to use a drag stick on the way in and set up my inflatable decoy 20 yards from my stand.
