Oh oh oh oh...me me me me!
Hopefully I'll get out to a stand in the morning, I've let the OMG stand sit idle for a week+ so I think it's about time to give another go in the morning if it's not raining and maybe if it is raining. It's 64F here right now at 10:30pm.

If nothing else maybe I can lay a doe down in the mornin'.

Temps are not suppose to get much lower tonight at least here. I know you'll prolly be a bit cooler there, but hell it's balmy here in OKC with the south wind still at 20mph

Low of 57 here tonight, I just bought new coveralls, one thin set and one insulated set. The thin ones are water proof (supposed to be) and also scent blocker material. I'm thinking it'll be about perfect for those in the morning. I'd like nothing more than to finally break this Carbon Element in good and proper on a 150"+ deer in the morning!

What do you guess it scores, CM?

You gonna go sit this morning?

And yes, we need points, BOB! ;)

I did find out last night at the org meeting that we don't have to kill a buck first, so if you harvest a buck, next must be antler less. So I'm still good for another buck and there are big deer in the hunt area. I did talk to a fella that hunted my zone last year and he gave me some tips/advice about the zone, where he found scrape lines last year, etc

I'm hunting it with a buddy, so we'll go out this morning, scout around and get him set up (he's less experienced) in his blind. Then I suspect I'll head off and get myself setup maybe on the other end of the zone.

Nah...I'm not going out this morning...it's raining like crazy here this morning and most of Missouri and KS both are covered by a huge glob of rain. I thought I might brave it if it was just sprinkling off and on but not with it coming down in buckets. For one thing I'm not too excited to get my new bow out in that much rain.

We've gotten probably 3" of rain here the last three days so far, so unfortunately it looks like I'm not going to be doing a hell of a lot of field work in the near future so I should have time to spend in a stand.

I pulled a card from one of the other cameras over on the far property the other day and had tons of deer and different bucks on it also. I never got a stand put up over there but have two stands sitting here in the yard all assembled and ready. I may try to get over there and put a stand up and see what I see. There was a really nice ten pointer on that camera about three hours after I set it up back in September and got him on it several times before I picked up the camera the other day. I wouldn't complain at all to take that guy. He's probably a 140" deer.

No idea what Buckhunters will score, just based off of the last one posted in here I"ll throw out a guess of 130"+ and hope I'm too conservative, lol.

Steve, awesome work buddy, he will look great on your wall.

Good to see things starting to come together for us. I'm hoping this rain we have coming in tonight will get them up on Friday.

It stopped raining here for a bit so I went out and sat in the big high hide here at home for a couple hours. There for a bit there were deer everyplace. Nothing came within range though, not surprising, that's my rifle stand but it's warm and dry, lol.

I love that stand, I built it on poles out of plywood and metal roofing, it's 8'x10' and 12' tall but it's situated on a high spot and the typical shot from it is 100-150 yards..once in a while a deer walks within bowrange though. Haven't tried yet to shoot a bow through the new windows I installed this fall.

Alright boys headed home from work early to pack for NE. We leave tomorrow morning for our first ever out of state whitetail hunt, and should be hunting by Saturday evening. Will hunt until the 9th, then pack it up.

Spoke with Jassen and am planning on meeting up for lunch one day as well!

Here goes nothing!!! Hope to come back with points on the board.

Awesome, man! Grats on the doe!

I'd like to just see some decent sign today, so far I've only seen one pile of poop and that was in a feeble scrape.
