Feels like September, but I'm out here. Trying to make something happen in my last week of being able to hunt after work.
Something has been moving around across the crick to left of stand but haven't been able to see what yet. Knowing my luck probably squirrels. Starting to cool down some though.

Lots of action tonight 9 total and a buck grunting up a storm but never showed himself. Drew back on a doe with 7 others watching. Had to let down due to a branch and then fought off the eyes, stomping, etc. They spooked but not bad. Blood was pumping!! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Had either a yearling doe or button buck at 8 yards after legal light....that makes 5 deer at close range tonight....not bad! I talked to the farmer ...it was a kid that traps that was walking thru the woods...when I told the farmer he scared the deer away he looked sick to his stomach
Ended up seeing about 7 or 8 doe. Started off with three couple hundred yards out. Two of them worked down the field to 40 yards, probably coulda got a shot but they weren't the biggest and I'm looking for a buck or mature doe since already got one down. After they walked by four or five more joind them and they fed off in opposite direction of my stand. Decent night besides getting rained on every ten minutes.
Great to finally be back in a stand after a week and a half off. Beans were cut Sunday and goose hunters are already out. Thankfully they arent close to me. Lets just hope the geese arent flying this morning! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2

It appears to be the inside of a train engine. Or at least that's what I think it looks like. Only ever seen one from a video game.
LOL, yea, that is what it is. I get to go get back on one here in an hour or so. I was just "on-call" for this morning. Was hoping to get to start my vacation a day early, but that call just came. Off to work I go, not too upset though, the weather is crappy, and only going to get worse. Tomorrow doesnt look like much fun either, but friday should be good after all the rain and temps dropping a little. Good luck to anyone out hunting.
