Two more long days of work before I am up at the cabin until next wednesday. I really hope my girlfriend or I get a chance at something. She is getting a little frustrated. This is the weekend for us to get things done so I hope we can make it happen. I am putting in some long hours right now at work so I am ready for the vacation.
Good luck everyone. Off to OH from 11/1-11/6, then hunting PA until the 16th....then back to work in VA and will hunt there at the tail end of the rut. I expect KILL! Just remember.....when you are exhausted and tired and want to quit....DONT do it over the next two weeks. Get some coffee, grab your honeys rear end a few times, and hit the woods!

I haven't seen any yet. Update on yesterday's hunts: Saw two does in the morning and one big body deer 50 yards away from me but couldn't make out what it was through all the brush. My girlfriend saw two does last night and she ended up missing one at 30 yards. Hit a twig she couldn't see through the peep. Well... just checked some trail cameras and it appears our deer are nocturnal, at least the bucks are. Had the buck we named big surprise come through 2 nights here is a photo of him. Thanks guys. It has been really hard especially because my dog past away a few weeks ago. He always helped me feel better but now he is gone and the other person that could always cheer me up is gone, my grandma.
Got to love hunting public land and some of the dumb public land hunters. It's 7 o'clock in the morning and he walked 50 yards from my stand after a doe just went through. Well guys and girls with the limited time I have left to hunt before the orange army hits the woods and the lack of deer that I have seen. I took a shot at a small buck and hit him really good. Only went 100 yards hit it a little high but still got both lungs. It died right on the main trail I walk in on. Couldn't have been better. It's a little one but at this point I was getting a little nervous and jus need some meat. Will post in score page later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
