Hey guys sorry I haven't posted any info on the doe in this thread. She is posted on the scoring thread though. I ended up getting a giant on cam this weekend and no it isn't the Spike buck. I've been pretty busy planning an attack. He's coming in through the night and right before last light. Hoping with the cold front this week me or dad can get him down this week.

Wow, that is great buck. You can just post both kill stories at the same time. :tu:

    Good luck

Buckeye hope you get a shot at him.
I really thought I was going to get a shot at a pretty good buck. I sat for around 6 hours as they chopped feed fields around an area I hunt. Had 3 does right on top of me and later a good buck was headed my way. I watched him for around 40 minutes. He bedded down in some weeds east of me around 300 yards away. His only option was to come my way as it was the only cover available and deer always use it as a travel route. I heard a pickup coming and thought he would hear it and head my way. Nope pickup gets near him a girl in Orange jumps out and smokes him with a muzzle loader. It was her first buck and hopefully ill get a chance at a bigger one.

Dang that buck makes your heart skip a beat. I try to tout that I don't get buck fever but he would probably make me feel a little feverish if he walked by! :)

I am getting ready to go sit in the rain for a couple hours. It's really light and I love hunting in conditions like this. You typically can get in quiet and things can't smell you as much!

Good luck to everyone if you're going out tonight!

Nice looking location! Also a good way to kill some time in the stand :).

Been real slow for my hunting hunting buddies and I this week.

It has rained a couple times and we still have a lot of crops in.

It looks like the weekend is supposed to be clear and brisk so I am hoping for good things.

Will be hunting tomorrow afternoon and all day Saturday. The corn is finally getting cut so that should help a lot. I also have a public land spot that Im holding in my back pocket until the conditions are perfect.

We're hanging in the top 10, keep dropping them. :tu:

I'll be heading to Illinois on Saturday guys. Should be hunting Sunday night or for sure Monday morning. I'll be there all week doing nothing but sitting in the stand. I'll keep you updated once I'm down there.

I won't be hunting too far from you next weekend. If you look up Liberty, I stay outside of town there.

I've been scouting a lot lately and the big boys are still hiding. Have bucks pinned that I could take anytime but going to let my wife shoot one as they are easy to find. Going to hang a new stand or two and change a couple camera locations. It's snowing today so that's exciting I will go out Saturday or Sunday.

Well I put down another deer this morning right at first light so I am officially done contributing points to team 11.

I shot another 8 pt so now I am strictly doe hunting for the remainder of 2013.
