Im writing small paper, kind of a research paper, but not a serious one. I have decided to do the paper on deer hunting. My main focus will be the movement of deer. It will not be a published paper, or even a paper that will get serious attention, just a grade for a masters class that we have to write something and with research, data collection, etc.

I have gotten the ok that i may do an online poll here use and trail camera pictures to support any research i find. I have decided the easiest way for on here is to poll when deer have been killed this year and in what conditions.

So if you all would be so kind to help out i would appreciate it. It wont take much info or much time, and the informations will only be used no user names, etc.. Thanks for the help.

If you could please include only deer taken in the current whitetail season (bow, xbow, muzzleloader, doesnt matter)...... im hoping to get around 100 +/- responses. It doesnt have to be exact just an estimate (ex. weather, age of deer, location)

    1) what time was your deer taken?
    2) what were the conditions at the time of the harvest (approx. temp and weather, ex. overcast, sunny, raining)?
    3) what kind of deer was harvested (fawn/yearling, doe, buck 2/2.5 yr or less, buck 3/3.5 yr or more)
    4) Locations? (Northeast, Southeast, Mid West, Southwest, and Western regions)

Again thank you all very much for helping out. If you are unsure about the age of the deer (buck and fawn/yearlings) just take a guess. Its not an issue to be exact or else i would need jaw bones. Just a rough estimation would be a huge help.

If interested i will post the overall results when i break down all the responses, even if not interested i will probably do it anyway.

    Thanks again

Look at the deer contest score card for starters.

Yeah i tried to start there, but im really going to try and expand on the correlation between temps. and types of deer (doe, fawn, buck, etc.) and deer movement. Even though it will be relative to each region, im going to try my best.
