Awesome...lol. just had a squirrel climb the tree I'm in. He jammed pretty quick once he realized I was here.
2nd Saturday here in Southeast Ohio; hunting our 10.5 acre property backed by a few hundred. My partner took a 1 1/2 year old doe at 6:15 and I had 6 roll through just past dark, no chance for a kill shot. Great sign and great encouragement this early. Gonna be a great season!!!
Man 80 degrees....do I go this afternoon....what to do what to do Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Took my little guy out this morning (9 yr old). Went out in the drizzling rain. I knew the weather would be bad, but he was so excited to go I couldn't break his spirit. Woke up at 4am. He bounced out of bed like it was Christmas. Made it to the blind where we both promptly fell asleep 30 minutes later. He woke up about 830. I said, you wanna go get some breakfast? Yep. Stopped at a little country restaurant, ate breakfast and then stopped by Cabela's on the way home. Still not a bad day.
Skunked! It's got to be this heat. Cold front coming through tomorrow, going to hit some public land on Wednesday.
Just got out to stand. Had two small buck feeding in clover field about 40 yards from stand, so had to wait for them to move on before getting here. This little bit of wind we got sure is rocking this tree. Kinda not liking that ha.
In stand earlier then planned, checked a cam on the way in, and nothing much on it. Did have a doe on it right after I left for lunch the other day, means she most likely walked by the stand I was sitting in. That kind of sucks but oh well, it is a long season. Good luck to any one out this afternoon, be safe and shoot straight.
