My season opened today, but its like 80*. Im gonna see how it looks this weekend. Got my stand moved last weekend and there are 3 superhighways that converge and go forward and to my right a ways about 25 yds out. One of the new ones we hung is right next to a half dry creek bed and surrounded by super thick timber that opens up into a weed field. Going to do a food plot there next year.

I got out twice this weekend and passed on a about a 120" 10 point. The deer seem to really be focused on acorns right now and my buck pics on the cameras have all become nocturnal. I did get one pic of a buck I hadn't gotten on camera before. Polecat, looks like you've got a nice spot in that plot!

    That stuff is outrageous.
Ok.. I'm done ranting for now )
I will sit in a stand some how, somewhere this weekend .. Cold front coming tomorrow with rain, it will be turkey time for sure )

About to go out in an hour or so here. The wind is perfect for the piece of land I'm looking at. Just some public land and I never actually got around to scouting it, so I have no idea if there's even anything in there, but I'm amped just to be going out. A little bit of rain will keep sound and scent down too. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Sonofa... Was watching two does quietly work their way in when the wind shifted 180. They didn't blow but didn't waste their time getting out of dodge either

So I was out all Saturday morning just walking. I was kneeling down for a rest in this thicket and I hear a ton of movement from my right to my left. Then over to the right I saw what I think was a doe. She didn't stay long though. The wind was in a good direction, I must've gotten on their morning route and they probably circled around. That's what I get for not scouting. Should be able to sit on some other land this weekend. Hopefully better luck then.
