I just bought my tags and I think I may actually go hunt tonight. If I do, it will be the earliest I have sat by two weeks in nearly 10 years. I guess with my sons being older and doing their own thing now I just have more time to go. And, my wife told me I should go hunt...so I got that going for me. lol It's 82 degrees and I have not been getting crap for good pictures but I guess I am going to go hunt in some oaks that I have only sat in two times in three years. The last time I sat there I killed a 170 class 10pt. and the wind is perfect so........here goes nothing. Does will get a free pass tonight. I am not messing with getting a doe out and butchered in this heat.
Well, I had a client come in as I was trying to leave early and had to take care of business instead. So it goes. I will go this weekend for sure. I have the urge to get out early this year.
I'll try to take another Doe this weekend and take 5 pics....lol. I seen a nice 10 point behind my house this evening when I pulled into the first field. I would like to send a Swhacker his way as well...lol.
Big front is rolling through for the next few days. I plan to be in the stand as the rain lightens up, either Sat or Sun. Heck, it looks like I might even get a good wind
Here's the deal, the government shut down and they canceled my vacation. The lady who was scheduled to taken my place is working too. I have four plants that I cover. She is working at one and I'm taking care of the others. She has been nice enough to take the 12 hrs shift. So I can get a little more rest. Long story short, I'm hitting the woods in the morning. Yea!
Suppose to be like 82 here Saturday....wow! Then cool off over the next week. I'm off all week long too.
Hi guys, finally got a tape on my buck. 139 7/8 gross green. Not built great for score but I am very happy! big old bodied Mtn buck ... after #2 starting Oct 10th when my seasons open back up. Good luck guys that are out there right now. Heck we may be in the lead now ...

Oh ya, hope I didnt come across wrong there, I love this buck I would never let him walk with 4 whitetail buck tags to fill. He is just one of those deer that is not built for big score, never would be..
Finally got a break in the action.. no students today.. work day... no hunting... can get caught up with you guys... How is everyone's hunting go so far?????
FYI, I just updated the scorecard and we're currently in 1st place Team 24 has a buck that will put them ahead of us, but the entry needs a time of kill to be entered. Keep those does coming boys! If we had the 2 scrubbed does, we'd be almost double the points of 2nd place Keep at it and stay safe out there!
Seen one Spike this morning...too hot to hunt this evening. Pulled the card and had 448 pics since last Sunday!
