Ok I'm drenched in sweat and wearing a tee shirt but I'm in the stand. Hope my dedication pays off.

I two am sweating like ______ in ______. It's bleeping 83 degrees in Indiana in October which pretty much figures - after 27 years of life you'd think I knew better than to take the first week of October off work to hunt... Negative.

If a doe walks by, she gone... As long as no fawns, we got a lot of fawns and I don't have the heart to kill mom in front of the babies... Lol

First sit of the year. For in a bit later than I wanted but didn't bump anything. I always forget just how thick it is early season.

In case anyone is wondering, deer dander does a pretty good job as a mosquito repellant. Forgot the thermacell and last ditch effort, a bit surprised yet relieved.

Big front moving in has the deer moving this morning. Seen 7 doe total this morning all to my left (picture) 3 yearlings were the only ones in bow range. Got a good rain shower right at day break and its helped make things more lively!!

Slow start, a fee squirrels and a ray of sunshine hitting a clump of dead leaves that made my heart skip a beat.

I'll give it until 10-10:30. With 95% of the crops still in not surprised. What is surprising is I haven't heard a single turkey. Hope the yotes didn't take a toll on them.

Looks like I'm going to go my first sit without a sighting. It's so thick I can't see much beyond 25 yds in most directions. I'll be happy to get off this dang cheese grater I'm sitting on. Thought I'd see a few pass by out if range but didn't plan in nothing.

I'll get my cams up and probably a mock scrape, check the straps onto other stand so I can sit in it next time. See what the cams say after my next sit.

Definitely need some motivation because 68 degrees at 4am is not my ideal temperature for hunting!

It is 61 degrees here at 4am. Still hoping something will get in range, but not counting on it.

Good luck guys. Had to stop for gas, looked in the back of the car and realized I forgot some gear at home.

Filled the tank and went home lol. Too many reasons to not go this time.
