My belly is saying it is lunch time, and then the rest of me will say it is nap time after that. I'll be back in stand around 1.
Back on stand, sitting a different one then this morning, and I have a problem. It is a squeaker, been trying to fix it for the last 20 mins but can not get it to stop squeaking of it shifts a little from side to side. On a side note, damn near fell out of it when I reached down and clicked my ratchet strap one more time, a damn tree from jumped out at me. Not that I am scared of frogs or something, it just kind of surprised me. Anyways, hope to see some deer this evening, it is hot out, so I'm sitting a little deeper in the woods hoping I will catch them going to the fields later on.
O.K. Back in the stand at my buddies place in suburbia. He says they come through like clockwork. We shall see. I'm ready to pop the bow kill cherry!
Yea, I normally use my climber, but my lease I got this year is not very good for a climber, a few trees here and there, what's bad though, is this particular tree I put this ladder stand in would have actually been a good one for a climber, so I'm an idiot.
2 hrs to go. Only seen 1 deer all day. Think I'm gonna sleep in Tomorrow and give it a rest until Next week when we have some cooler temps. Deer movement on my cams have declined drastically over the last month, picked up a little when we had a cool spell, but since it has been hot again the last two weeks, barely anything on cam.
Beautiful rainy afternoon here in MO... Bout an hour left of light. Hoping for some action soon. #bowhuntordie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
3 minutes before legal time is up I see a doe. Too far away. Too many branches. Looks like shes coming down the trail. I get my bow as she steps behind a downed tree. Heart starts racing. Calm down. Cakm down! Fundamentals fundamentals....doe never comes down the trail. Poof vanished into the night. Great end to my 3 day hunting spree. Back to work tomorow. Good luck everyone!
No deer yet this morning... I want some bologna . Public land has been rough this week so far gotta be the weather.
A 'Da Torch' arrow smoked an average size doe this morning on state land here in Manistee, MI. Meat in the freezer and now it's time to wait it out for the big boys!!!
