What is the going price on replacind the string on a compound bow? If it matters, it's a reflex buckskin. I was told at Bay Archery around 150.00. Sound right?

Around here runs about $120. Get a press, even a portable one, and learn to do your own. It will save you a lot of money.

Before I bought my new bow, I had my previous bow restrung. Not more than 3 weeks ago. I paid $85. @ my local archery shop. They had to order the string in.

Right now we are running a Hunting sale. $55 single cam and $65 for a hybrid. Then all you have to do is have it installed.

I changed my string and cable for 70 bucks two seasons ago. The stretched the string and did everything themselves. IMO I think 150 bucks is a lot. BTW it was a PSE Marauder. :tu:

If you can find a shop that makes strings it will be much cheaper. If they are ordering a string it will be more expensive. That is why I said $120, last time I was at the shop a guy asked about a string and that's what they told him for the string and install.

I install my own so it only costs me the cost of the string. If I knew Hutch made them I would have talked to him. I had a slight disaster Monday on my Assassin (my fault) and Vaportrail was the only string maker I could find that said 1-2 days, everybody else said 5-8 days. I am supposed to have it today or tomorrow. I might miss the Saturday opener, first time in 20 years if I do.

$65 for a Bowtech experience one? My only issue is I will have to replace all of my string silencers.
