This is the rest that came with my bow. I'm not so sure I like it? It seems to fall off that bottom brush sometimes. Should I upgrade to something differant? What do you guys think of this style rest? Thanks, Jacob
Tried to post a pic. Don't know if it worked. Anyway the rest has three brushes on it.

If your rest is a Octane Hostage they are junkkkkk. Get a QAD, best rest on the market

I know what your talking about. While I have never shot it just the design looks bad. You can get a QAD Ultra rest hunter for 50.

    Good luck!

PS. Try posting a link to your rest if you can't post a pic.

The octanes or any of the three brush rest are junk in my opinion I have shot two of them and after about 200 shots and a few weeks later the brushes wear out.

Yep , running into the same problem on the wife's bow.
Solving it the same way, QAD on the way.
I have one on mine and love it.
There also easy to deal with, the shop that set mine up the first go round did it wrong and never gave me all the extra parts back.
Called QAD and their sending me some parts.

I just emailed Quality Archery Design on Monday and they do offer military discount. I didn't know if you are military but the Ultrarest HDX is only 123.96. Check em' out.

Hostage rest very noisy too with carbon arrows, makes a definite whoosh! I like the looks of their new double drop tine rest though. Was checking one out the other day and they make almost no noise on release. Love the qad's but they are a little noisy for my taste. Hdx is quieter than the hunter though. If the new drop tine doesn't bounce back it might be worth something. Just a little guide for the arrow though on the fork of the rest. Looks pretty good but no containment.
