these are the 2 pics I used on the score card, sorry about the second one I started to skin it and for it about the pictures, my friend who took the pictures of me Andy deer had some nice ones similar to the first pic but he deleted them all and only sent that one, still good enough and some points down for our tram, it was an 18 yard spine shot after he dropped, got down and heart shot her! Great second day of the season considering I wasn't even gonna go hunting after school I had a headache but my bro talked me into it, good thing I went haha!! Good luck to u guys
I managed to get out for two sits in Kentucky this past weekend. All I saw was a spike, a six point and two does, all of which were within 20 yards at some point. I wasn't about to shoot the spike or the six point and I didn't manage to get a shot at the does. They sneaked past me at 20 yards before it was light enough to be 100% sure they were actually does. They fed in the picked corn field until it was light enough for me to glass them and see that I'd missed an opportunity. Ah well, better safe than sorry. I'd much rather go home empty handed than have to burn my first buck tag (my only buck tag in Kentucky) on a little spike.
Here are the pictures from last weekend. What I thought was a doe turned out to be a yearling buck. Not what I wanted to do but you learn from experience. I also posted a picture of my first turkey ever, it's a small hen. Hopefully next time I'll have pictures of a monster buck and big bearded tom. Pictures taken 10/5/13 1100hrs+- Hoyt Trycon Pile drivers
Not getting on to you at all, I have killed a few button bucks also. But if you are wanting to take does instead and let button bucks grow your second picture is a great example of the flat head a young buck will have compared to a rounded top of the head of a doe. Congrats on the great table fare.
Going tomorrow in the rain. Should quit by 8/9 am so I'll be in the tree early to get them moving as soon as it stops.
