Every 100 draws or so my peep sight alignment tube gets caught in my upper monkey tail string silencer. Not a big deal in my back yard, huge deal if it happens when I draw on a deer. Does anyone else ever have this problem and do you have any suggestions. Open to hearing about other string silencers that everyone likes?

I am probably just going to take it off all together.

Tubeless peep. I struggled and struggled with the stupid tube until I had to switch. It snapped on me at full draw on a doe one season, that was the final straw.

Tubeless peep or take the top monkey tail off. It's not going to hurt anything.

I think I will probably take it off, I am due for a new string next season so I might have to try the tubeless peep. I just always worry that when I draw with a tubeless peep the peep will be twisted and I wont be able to see through it.

I would get rid of the tube today. They scare me. It is aiming at your eye...ready to break or come off the string. God gave me 2 eyes and I want to keep them both. A good bow tech can have you shooting tubeless in less than 1/2 hour. I have not had a peep alignment issue in the 6-7 years without a tube. Other bad things about the tube: noisy, gets caught on everything (ie Monkey Tail, brush, fence, shirt/cuff buttons), and can fail (come off/break) at the worst time, just at the moment of truth usually.

I replace the tube every year in the begining of the season to prevent any issues but I might have to switch it up next year. I see I spelled Silencers wrong in my thread title, sorry about that :p
