heres a quick story....ill post a better one tomorrow!!!

50 yards from my house....right on cue.....30 minutes into my hunt at 4pm....clcockwork comes in...and DIES!!!!!!!! I was 15 yards away at 25 feet up. I thought my shot was a bit high, but saw blood spurting out as he took off...he went 60 yards and it was over. of course I didn't see him drop just heard silence after a few seconds. a very weak blood trail due to a high entry and a small punch through hgole on the other side. I eneded up getting both lungs and a huge valve in the heart!!! I have some good quality pics ill post tomorrow!! wow was he heavy to drag out....tore my brand new deer sled in half....lol it was a warm night in the mid to upper 70's..so I didn't measure him up, figure ill have the taxi do that for me!! my first wall hanger!!!

Finally am going to get out this afternoon. Just got my arrows back from being refletched...lesson learned don't leave your arrows sitting in the back window of your car! Taking a buddy out to some MFL(managed forest land...open to public hunting) that butts up to land where I have glassed some giants. Hoping at least one of connects with either a big buck or a slick head Good luck to everyone hunting this weekend and remember to wear your safety harnesses!

Well guys, I'm getting back into it. I'm currently planning on competing in the Nevada Bow Hunter's Assn (NBHA) Tournament next weekend. I should be getting some inserts this afternoon to finish cutting my arrows and I'll start to shoot a little bit each night. I don't think that I'll be a threat to win, but it's an opportunity to get out there and mingle with some other NV bowhunters.

Well, I took a shot at moving the camera to where I saw the 10 pointer last week with the hope something else was coming by to visit the apple tree, and the 10 pointer came by again.







This is what I think I am looking for, bigger body, rack may not score as much as the 10, but looking like it is an older deer, will need to see it in the field and make the call then. Then again, I may be way off on my assessment, any opinions?
