i finely got the owner of that 88 acres i just picked up this year to take me for a tour of the land on sat then i get my key and i will be there on oct 1st. i will have some work to do to get ready but o well he told me that it has not been hunted in 2 years and that the guy that hunted it last got some big bucks out of there on sat i will be setting a trail cam and will see next what there is he also told me there is a bunch of does and to take out as many as as i can. im pumped y cant oct 1st be hear yet
this guy showed up this week and so did 3 does its nice to see deer on the cam after 2 weeks of nothing
Hunted this morning and last night. Passed some small does last night and only saw one small buck before shooting light this morning. Checked some cameras yesterday and got a pic of a really nice buck. Ill post the pic later once I get to a computer. Congrats on the buck, shed.
I'm after this dude again. Missed him clean August 31st. Deflection. Hope hes moved back into where he likes/liked to bed.
Here are some bucks I've been targeting. Not sure why the pics are sideways but I'm guessing cause I'm doing this on my phone. The last 8 pt I'm giving another year but the other two are atleast 5 years old. Hope I can get them in bow range.

Did some shooting this afternoon, checked a camera, and mowed the yard. Then later sat in an observation stand out behind the house armed with a thermacell and a cell phone.
What do you think this guy would score? I'm guessing right around 125". Let me know if you think I'm way off.
Haven't taped him yet, got him caped and ready for taxi.. he is wide but really not built great to score real high, he will go mid to high 130s I think ...maybe low 140 .... Gross score of course
Shed, that's a good buck. That's also 130 or 140 more points that we had. I'm getting into the woods tonight and tomorrow morning. Been passing a lot of does because of small fawns but I'm not feeling too nice today. May have to put a big nanny down if I get the chance.
This is the only shooter buck I've seen this year. If he shows up Saturday morning it will be hard to let him walk and with the hours I work, I probably won't. I know there are bigger bucks on another property I hunt. Vacation starts Sunday!
Another doe down for the backwoods boys. 18 yrd shot, double lunged and ran about 70 yards. Good first doe of the season. Fun hunt saw 9 does tonight.
