So many of you may know that I work as a production supervisor for an aerospace composite company. lol Well the lions share of what I and my crew does is research and development for new rockets, jets, drones etc. Anyway many many hours of frustration have gone into my most recent project. I have actively killing myself over this one for 2 years now. Monday was the debut and it is no longer confidential, so I can finally share with my friends and family what I have been working on. Still a bit behind schedule, flight test is a month behind schedule, but she will be in the air by the end of October. My crew is currently finishing the test article and 2nd prototype. Anyway what you are looking at is an all carbon fiber fixed wing jet. She will be armed. There are some pics and great videos of the ejection seat testing and engine test. Although I gotta say the vid at the bottom that is a time lapse sequence really bout tears me up. It has been a long haul, very gratifying to see it coming together. Click on the media gallery tab to view pics and videos. Enjoy... I did haha Textron AirLand Media Gallery - Textron AirLand
Any one else hoping this doesn't turn into one of those......."if I tell you I have to kill you " situations
so how hard is it not to be able to talk to your friends or even your wife about what you do at work ?
ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies. I want one. What's the MSRP? And does Textron take trades? My wife's 06 Scion TC only has 44k miles and a just a few scrapes.
Wow thats awesome man. Congrats, Its a great feeling when things finally start to fall into place. Especially in your case after 2 years!
Look at this guy....acts like its rocket science or something....I built one exactly like this out of legos when I was 8....took me 27 minutes Im obviously kidding....congrats to you and your team....the thing looks amazing....cant wait for updates after the first flight Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Eh, comes with the territory. When 98% of your work load is government / military related it's just the way it is. Even more so when it is R&D.
Would you maybe be able to fly in it during a test ride as a passenger? That would be pretty cool to get a chance to be in something you put together and see how it does in the air.
wows that's pretty impressive bro!!! BUT,,i have to one up ya ....today at work I was delivering a box...it weighed like 23 pounds, and I carried it up 2 flights of stairs...BOOM.... did you at least try to name it the millennium falcon just one time? haha!!!
