Having stands and cameras stolen sucks, but when its on privet land that really sucks!! I'm sure you have an idea who the dirty SOB was.

How was that auction? Prices reasonable?

Prices where okay, some people payed retail for used stands. I bought 3 stands for 130 bucks. All 3 came with 20 foot sticks straps and bow hangers. I felt that it was worth the money. I also have a really good feeling I know who took the stand

Well I was rained out opening morning, I dont mind hunting in the rain but I wont sit on a hunk of metal 20 feet up with lightning all around. Went back in the afternoon, but did not see anything but squirrels and mosquitos. Oh well sure felt good to get out.

Well this weekend I sat along a road side and glassed for deer in the Huge pasture across the road from us. I probably shouldn't have done that because now I can barely stand the wait until opening day. Just watching the does and small bucks out feeding got me all fired up for the season.
Then I get online and see that several guys have put deer on the ground and that really gets me going!

I got a fever and more cow bell won't fix it this time. I need to put a Rage in the Cage!!!!

^That's about like taking a kid to the toy store and telling them they can't have anything! How long until the season opens?

The season opens Oct 1st. But I won't be able to get in the woods until the 4th.

if the weather forcast is favorable and the farmers are in the fields in my area I hunt I may have to call in sick. We will have to see!

It was probably a pretty epic update. I will assume you were telling us you have a 180 patterned and ready to put on the ground. I look forward to the pictures!

Might not be ready by opener[IMG]
Took a piece of shrapnel to the leg today. Everyone wanted me to go to the hospital but I said no. Well know I have passed out once and vomited once since 2. I cleaned it out with hydrogen peroxide and saline solution. Now my leg is swollen and hurts like. Bit**. I used some butterfly's to pull it back together we will see in the mourning if it will hold

Go get a couple stitches before it gets infected and you do miss some time in the woods

I should have sat in my other stand tonight. I had 6 doe under it eating apples and acorns. Saw some really nice shooter bucks tonight but I don't have a pin set for 206 yards!!

I'm really trying to get us on the board guys. Just not working the way I had planned. There is still a lot of season left though.

Shrapnel, eh? Sounds like something that should have been filmed to share with the rest of us. In all seriousness though, I hope you get better soon. How long since the last tetanus shot

P.S. Has anyone ever noticed that it's spelled tet - anus?

My next day out will be Wednesday. I've got the new bow dialed in and I have a nice slick top already picked out to lay down :tu:
