I didnt even see a deer at my new lease on Friday. Went to old faithful last night and saw 7 myself. Between 4 of us we saw 25. Great movement. I just didn't have anything come close enough. Hey Tyler - Congrats again on your harvest. Watched BHOD this week and that was awesome footage and regardless of the non-immediate kill, a great shot!

Maybe a little abnormal for this time of year but nothing I am concerned about since I have been trying to keep deer off my land and out of my food plots.
6 by was pn my hitlist video a couple weeks ago. Last year his sheds went 172. He just showed up on one of my cams finally in a 2 acre patch of woods a mile from any real timber. Tyler Rector BHOD prostaff
I haven't had any bucks on my land next to my house, but the land I have access to has a small 8 point located on it. Can't decide if he is a shooter or not.

BUT here's an update....it's hot, season dont start for 3 more friggin weeks .....but I had a really cool trail cam pull last Sunday. Got a nice buck on cam and several smaller ones. The big one is not a monster by some standards, but he's a stud for around here

Well, I just got back from my bear hunt in MN. I didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but I had a great time. I also met some awesome people. All in all, it was worth the trip. Maybe next time it fill my tag. On the bright side, our guide raises several types of animals. It was pretty cool getting to interact with all of them. Here are a few pics.
Alright how about a second check-in if you will. Let us know when your opening day is - if you have already opened let us know. Let us know when you will be hunting (vacation time, weekends, etc.). I will start, my season opens Oct. 1 here in Indiana. I have Oct 1 through Oct 6 off work to take full advantage of my beans and peas food plots. I also have Nov. 5 through Nov. 10 off work to take full advantage of the rut and the last week before gun season opens. I will probably not gun hunt at all this year and I hope to have tagged out on a doe and a buck by Nov. 10 so it shouldn't matter.
Mine started yesterday, but all I saw was a fawn. I'll be in my stand each night as long as I can escape practice.
Oct 1. Don't know when ill hunt. I will be I the combine every day til it rains. So that's when ill hunt. And I don't gun hun so not sure those dates yet.
