Couldn't sleep, not supposed to be up till 4:45. NJ season opens at 0610 hrs today. Weather is great 48 degrees, clear, light but steady wind. Purchased an IPhone bow mount, tried it out yesterday. Works great, there is shot shock on the video but it is better then nothing. See ya all in the stand in a few hours, hunting a suburban piece of public land, its an odd ball piece that most guys wouldn't hunt, close to the road and about 80-100 yards from the nearest residence. Tons of deer though so hoping to tag a doe which is required here in early season. Send some pics once the sun comes up.

I can't sleep either so had to jump on here and see if same for anyone. Ill be heading out inside a corner of my field in a few hours. Been seeing some decent deer heading that way each morning. Sometimes one of my nice shooters makes it through. I'd love a doe to start it out too. There's a few velvets around too that because of that I'd be happy to take. Guess we'll see if anything I want wants to give a shot.
Good luck to you guys too

Welp back in a tree this morning. Low 50s here in MD with a slight nw wind. Feels great.

Hunting public today and counted at least 6 hunters total as of when I walked in. Wanted to sit in my usual spot but saw someone else's light nearby so I'm in a different tree about 150 yds away.

In the climber, shooting time has begun, still to early to take a pic. Beautiful morning, lots of birds up already, wind is great its blowing my sent away from the woods across the road toward the houses. May God bless your hunt, make you steady and your arrows fly true.

Good luck everyone out there! Had deer blowing all around me coming in. Hopefully they're still around.

Surprised nobody else was out here at Seneca Creek State Park on this Saturday morn. There were like three others here opening day.

Saw a small buck go through at 0650. Still waiting for a doe. Great NJ day. My son already laid one down about a half mile from here.

Been on stand since 5:20 and it's a cold one this morning 31 when I left the car. No deer yet but I'm sitting in an oak flat so I'm hoping they visit soon

Wind has picked up a bit. Brought an extra layer this morning and I'm still chilled. Man I could go for a nice breakfast right about now.
