Whoops sorry I havnt posted in a while bros, just been busy with school, those r some monsters on camera! I recently gained access to a new property
Went to see the Doc today, told me I have pneumonia. Taking a handful of drugs and resting for the next few days. Season is to close to be messing around and getting sick.
Man, I'm sorry to hear that Joe. I know you don't need anyone to tell you this, but take care of yourself and don't push it. That can go south very quickly. Take it easy and get yourself well for the opener.
Are you talking about my Drenalin or my Heli-m? :D I tried to send you a PM, Tony, but your inbox full. Your keyboard does have a delete key, ya know. :D
That's rough, kick its a** and go kill a deer I just got another huntin spot yesterday, I'm not sure what's gonna be out there yet. It's basically a hill top that butts right up to some thick nasty bedding area, but there is a quad track that runs the whole property border. They are big ATV fans, and have named the hill "Motorhead Hill". I'm gonna run a bag of corn and a camera up there tomorrow when I get my ATV tire patched, just to see what's up there.
For our forecast its 80s all week drop down to high of 68 Saturday and rain Sunday, Saturday should be good!
I will never have enough The only bad thing is that they are big party guys, and they like to take laps around the place. So we will see if they sizzle down while I am hunting or not.
Sounds fantastic! You are WAY up north, though, so I guess that sounds about right. After a few weeks of suffering through temps in the 90's with the heat index at 100 or better I'm thinking 50 degrees on Saturday morning is going to feel pretty cold sitting still on the stand. I can't wait.....
If you think about it, the deer are there, right? If they are there then they have more than likely become accustomed to the sound. I'd imagine it would be a frustrating hunt because of the sound but I'd bet you could hunt that spot with quads running all around you. It would be kind of like hunting within 50 yard of an interstate highway, which I have experience with. You can't hear squat, but the deer move just the same because they're used to it.
The way I look at it, I can be lazy and just ride mine up the hill and walk to my blind (all short cedars, nowhere for a stand).
Sounds like a solid plan. Like they say in the ads for Bad Boy Buggies, "They'll never near you coming."
With rain moving in on Sunday and the temperature drop, Saturday should be fantastic. Good luck! I think it's going to be interesting to see who puts us on the board first.
I would still be careful with driving the tab to the stand. Deer hear the other riders come and go, but you will be parking IMO it may keep deer out of that area. But I don't know.
