Smart man. I think any of us would be real a$$es to put the one's we love through the pain of us off-ing ourselves because we're to lazy to wear a harness when we climb a tree to hunt.
Thata boy Rob. I used one my first couple seasons, then got away from using one, and i think this year im going to go back to wearing one. Im a little less agile, alot heavier and slightly more clumsy now. I need to pay attention to safety.
About time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now what about your Seatbelt in your truck / car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice pick / i have the same one
Full body harness hooked to a life-line is the only way to go. Like someone said, "It's always the what-if" that must be considered. It would be so horrible to become paralyzed due to not wearing a harness, when in reality they are no more expensive than they are. Plus the new designs are so comfortable you almost forget you're wearing it while in the tree. Plus hanging stands while wearing it in combo with a lineman's belt is so great. I couldn't live without it!
Congrats man good move.I personally known a guy my age that fell out of his stand on opening morn of gun season in 1997 and is paralyzed. And yes the linesmans belt is sweet have hung 2 stands recently wish I had been using that for years.
Just got one also this year, haven't ever used them, but after buying several hang ons, I just felt I needed one
Good job man. I have been wearing a full harness since I started using treestands. Just not worth the risk to me. Even long time climbers can fall, it only takes a split second and you are injured for life or worse.
